VIDEO EDITING
Our Digital Video Editing course introduces students to essential editing skills through hands-on instruction in Adobe Premiere. Covering video and audio effects, text and image integration, and online content production, this course builds a strong foundation in editing techniques.
Students work on their own creative projects, applying skills learned in class to develop unique, polished videos. By the end of the course, they’ll have a portfolio of original work that showcases their creativity and readiness for future editing projects.
Course Structure
Introduction to Adobe Premiere Pro
This section introduces students to the Adobe Premiere Pro interface and core tools. Students learn essential navigation skills, including managing timelines, importing footage, and organizing media, preparing them for more advanced editing tasks.
Basic & Advanced Editing Skills
This covers the fundamental techniques of video editing, such as cutting, trimming, and arranging clips, as well as more advanced skills like multi-camera editing and scene transitions. By mastering these techniques, students can create smooth, dynamic edits that enhance storytelling.
Basic & Advanced Color Grading and Color Correction
Students learn how to adjust colors to achieve natural-looking footage (color correction) and enhance the mood or tone of a scene (color grading). This includes using tools like color wheels, LUTs (Look-Up Tables), and exposure controls to ensure videos look professional and visually consistent.
Basic & Advanced Editing Skills
This section covers a range of video effects, from basic adjustments like blurs and zooms to advanced effects, such as masking, keying (green screen), and motion graphics. These techniques add visual interest and help convey the desired atmosphere or action in a scene.
Basic & Advanced Audio Effect
Here, students learn essential audio editing techniques, including noise reduction, volume leveling, and syncing audio with video. Advanced audio effects include reverb, equalization, and spatial audio mixing, which improve the overall sound quality and enhance the immersive experience of the video.
